Penga nDlovu Customs

Penga nDlovu Customs started in March 2017 as a hobby and to my surprise it very quickly grew into a small business .

After an initial phase of learning the trade, I started to design and make my own knives. Starting out in December 2017 with just basic tools at a table in my tool-shed the hobby and the company have grown and as of January 2019 the space has been converted into a fully fitted out workspace with everything needed to build custom knives.

I make various styles and types of knives, hunting knives, knives for self-defense but also Chefs knives.
90% of my knives are sold within South Africa but I also have satisfied customers in America, Canada, Europe and Asia.

In December 2018 I decided to share my passion and skills with others and start a new part of the journey.
As of March 2019 I have opened the doors of the workshop and am teaching basic knife making classes. This will be a two day course in which you will make your own fixed blade knife while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the lodge.

I also design and make the custom leather sheaths to complement the knives.
They are completely handmade and sewn and can be customized at the clients request.

The dagger is made from N690 stainless steel with an Elephant bone bolster and a Camphor bush burl handle

6mm Thick 5160 high carbon steel with a full flat grind gives this dagger a very high tensile strength.
It is cladded with a Jackalberry handle with Brass inserts
